Daylight Saving Time three weeks early and one week late

Starting this year 2007, the DST (daylight saving time) will being March 11,  the second Sunday in March, three weeks earlier.  It will end November 4, 2007, instead of October. Why? Because on August 8, 2005 the United States signed the Energy Policy 2005.  This act changed the daylight saving time beginning 2007.  DST will begin the second Sunday on March and end on the first Sunday in November.  Canada choose to follow the Americans and are observing the changes. This has a big impact on technology, every digital clock will be affected and needs to conform to the new standard.  Every PDA, computer, routers, switches, servers, has some sort of hardware or software clock inside.  They all need to be adjusted to observe the correct time change.

I have been busy applying the DST patch to all devices on my network.  Microsoft has a number of patches for the different products that needs to be applied.  In my environment, I applied patched for Windows 2003 server, Windows XP, Exchange 2003 server, Outlook 2003 client, Kronos Workforce Central Suite, AIX 5 etc.
